Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains what happens to the details you share through this website, and what you can ask us to do with them.
Who runs this website
This website is run by Ella Whitfield, trading as Ella Whitfield PT, a personal trainer in Bradford (Idle, BD10). You can email ellawhitfieldpt@gmail.com about anything in this policy. Our current contact details are always on the contact page.
What we collect and why
Messages sent through the contact form
When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. The message is stored on this website and emailed to Ella so she can reply to you. We keep it until Ella deletes it.
Bookings
When you book a session online, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number, the session you chose, its date and time, how many people it is for and any note you add. We use these to arrange the session, to email you a confirmation, and to contact you if anything changes. Your booking is stored on this website, and if Ella has connected her Google Calendar, it is added to that calendar too. We keep it until Ella deletes it.
Orders and payments
When you pay for a session or buy something from the shop, we collect your name, your email address and the details of what you bought, so we can provide it and keep a record of the sale. Card payments are taken by Stripe, our payment provider, on its own secure page: we never see or store your card details. Stripe handles your payment under its own privacy policy. We keep records of sales for as long as the law requires for tax and accounts.
Who looks after the website
This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process the data above on our behalf and deliver the website’s emails. They only use it to run the website for us.
Cookies
The website sets a session cookie and a security cookie that every visitor needs: they keep forms working and protect them from misuse. They do not track you.
The website’s own visitor counts are cookieless: they count visits without setting any cookie or identifying you.
If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags, a banner will ask you first, and nothing from them is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser, and you can change your mind at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email ellawhitfieldpt@gmail.com and we will reply as soon as we can, and within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top always shows when it last changed.
